I am Jennie Norris, Owner and Principal Stager of Sensational Home Staging.  I have been  been Staging professionally since 2002, and really, all my life. When I look back at how at 10 years old I used to rearrange my bedroom, I realize I was honing my skills and just had to find the vehicle that would allow me to make money doing what I love. After a stint in corporate America in marketing and sales, I started a family and wanted to be a stay-at-home mom.  When our four children were 3-8 years old, I found myself needing to contribute to our family income.  Not wanting to leave our young children in daycare, I investigated options for businesses that could be operated from my home, were flexible, paid well, and used creativity.  Enter Home Staging.  After taking a Staging business course, I started my first home staging company in the Sacramento region in 2002.  Back then, the market was hot, Realtors and sellers did not believe they needed to do one thing to prepare their house for sale, and as a result I was not sure where it would take me. I grew a very successful Staging company and helped dozens of colleagues enter the business.  

 

In 2009, our family made the decision to move to Colorado where my husband had lived during his childhood, and I started my second staging company, Sensational Home Staging.   I am happy that I found the outlet for both my creativity and business acumen through home staging. I love helping people achieve their goals and being part of the success for sellers and Realtors.  My children grew up with me owning and operating my own business, which has had its shared of challenges and great rewards.  Today, our daughter, Lauren, is one of our lead stagers, and our youngest son, Logan, helps run our warehouse.  I currently live in Littleton with my family that includes four young adult children (a girl and three boys), and my husband of 33 years, John.

 

We own and operate our own warehouse - We Stage Colorado - located in Denver where we house our contemporary furnishings to provide expert styling and on-trend staging to attract target buyers.  We stage both occupied and vacant properties for sale, and we believe EVERY house deserves to look its best before being seen by buyers online or in-person. We also offer Vacation Property Rental Staging and have a Design Center operating our of our warehouse where we can offer design guidelines and discounted purchasing for furniture, artwork and decor.

 

To date we have Staged more than 5,500+ properties for sale.   Our fabulous team of 7 talented stagers serves the greater Denver region including the foothills. We have staged from way out east in Byers to way out west in Summit County, from down south in Colorado Springs to north to Fort Collins - and everywhere in between.  If it makes fiscal sense for us to Stage for our clients, we drive the miles. Our team is responsive and available, and we put emphasis on meeting our client's scheduling needs. You will never hear, "We are booked out for 2 weeks and cannot get to you," because we don't want you to have to wait to get your property Staged and show ready! We are able to handle up to 4 Stagings per DAY during peak season and our statistics we track prove we get the results you want and need.

 

Trained & Accredited

My background in Staging is varied.  I got started in 2002 when I received my Accredited Staging Professional® (ASP®) credentials.  All of our creative Staging team members have earned their ASP® credentials as we are committed to being the best in our market and providing the best service.  In 2004, I earned my ASP Master® Certification that only about 300 stagers in the world have earned.  I am the only ASP-ASPM® in the Denver region to receive the ASP-SRS® serving the Senior Market, the ASP-REO® serving the Foreclosure and Investor markets, the ASP-BTS® Designation as a Buyer Trends Specialist. In 2017, I and two other team members earned our IAHSP-CB – Color Basics Designation. 

 

In 2018, we earned our LHS - Luxury Home Staging Certification and in 2019, we earned our Investor Staging Consultant Designation. The ASP® and ASPM® Designations are the only internationally recognized Accreditations for Home Staging and an Accreditation is the highest form of training in the industry. Sensational Home Staging is also licensed and insured to protect you - the client.  In 2005, I was asked to teach Staging courses by the company who trained me, and have helped educate thousands of real estate agents about why and how to use staging in their businesses.  The courses are also for aspiring Staging Business owners and it has been my pleasure to be a part of launching businesses of thousands of successful stagers around the world.

International Award Winner

I am the only 2-time "Staging Award of Excellence" Recipient and the IAHSP® Spirit Award Winner. Both awards voted on by peers in the Home Staging industry. I also won the President’s Award and Affiliate of the Year Award from the Women's Council of Realtors (WCR). In 2018, 2019 and 2020 our team received the Tri-Fecta Award for Best of Home Staging for Staging Excellence, Customer Service and Industry Leadership. Additionally, I was recognized as One of the Most Influential People in the Home Staging Industry (Top 100). We have been recognized for Best of Littleton and Best of Denver for 2019 and 2020.

 

Professional Association

I am the Chairwoman of the International Association of Home Staging Professionals® (IAHSP®) - setting professional standards of excellence for the Home Staging industry since 1999.  IAHSP® has thousands of members worldwide and is the only association founded in education and excellence. The IAHSP Board and staff provide an annual educational conference for hundreds of industry members.  It is my honor and pleasure to coordinate and host this event.  As Chairwoman, I have helped grow IAHSP to include IAHSP Europe, IAHSP Canada, IAHSP Latin America, IAHSP South Africa, IAHSP Australia, IAHSP Israel, and IAHSP Russia.
